"In a word, stunning. For a motor priced at £175 running on a quiet pipe, using straight fuel, in an airframe of this size and returning a performance that it does, the package instantly made top spot in my model collection."

"Just to let you know that after following your MOKI 180 instructions to the letter, the engine that I bought from you on Saturday at Weston Pk., started first (reverse) flick ! That has never happened to me before ! In fact it made me jump cos I wasn't expecting it! What a beastie though - I bolted the engine to a 3/4" ply mount and then clamped the whole caboodle to one of those early generation heavy duty Black & Decker workmates. Well if the workmate had got wings I reckon the whole lot would have been winging its way back to Carlisle ! I think I'll be flying the Moki's new mate, the Rollason Condor, on 1/4 throttle ! Thanks for good service"

Paul, AT LAST....flew the Edge / Moki 180, shame the airframe is not up to the engine, v cold took about 4 or so flicks to start (probably me, big props hurt!) sorted out needle valve, ran 2 tanks thru her, pointed the lot down the runway, half throttle and away like a scalded cat, nice rotation and pulled the nose up, NOT A COUGH ...NOTHING...WENT VERTICAL LIKE U WOULD NOT BELIEVE.. on half throttle!!

Have got to say in 30 years of flying have flown A LOT of a/c engines not only mine but as a club and BMFA instructor, petrol, diesel, glow, sports, trainers, ducted fan etc..........this is the best engine I have ever owned, the response, handling, throttling I cannot fault it, to top it all on landing, checked the fuel (14oz tank + moki = poor fuel economy/short flights??) no way... still had half a tank of fuel!! Am now looking for a better airframe (Seagull edge 540 ARTF 2m span 12lbs, cheap @ cheerful but average flying) to compliment a fantastic engine, magnificent...thanks again
Must start saving pennies... fancy a 2.10!

"Here`s my Pepsi Chipmunk just about to take off . It's built from the Apache model and is covered in a mixture of glosstex and solarfilm. The forward urge is provided by a Moki 210 turning a 20x10 prop which is mounted inverted . The all up weight is 15lbs. The motor gives around 20lbs of static thrust. In flight this gives unlimited vertical performance. The Moki has never missed a beat, running on straight castor fuel with an O.S. 4 stroke plug.
The size of the engine hides the power output . The 210 is a credit to Moki. For once the advertised performance of the engine is what you get."

"Just thought I'd let you know that the 1.35 you recommended for my Christian Eagle was the perfect choice - the performance is awesome. Thanks for the advice."

Jerry Festa's (USA) Midwest Super Stinker (RCM June 1999) with Moki 1.80. "The moki would start on the first or second flip if it were chocked well first!. The model/engine could do it all - from unlimited vertical to knife edge loops. A couple of pilots did things with this combination I had never seen done before and all this with a new engine running about 1800 rpm slower than recommended!" Moki 1.80 and BCM Pitts muffler used.

"I just started the Moki 180 after almost finishing my latest project. Boy oh Boy, did this engine run!. I bench tested it and it fired up on the VERY first flip.

I was very impressed and the rest of the club members who, same as me had read a lot ,but never seen a Moki, were very impressed. After 1/2 gallon of FAI fuel I had it at idling as if it had been running for ages!. It started with first flip hot or cold. Also vibration was very low for an engine of this size. This purchase I do not regret! It's home will be an 80" Dave Platt ZERO." "Many thanks for the super service."

R.W.

"Thanks for the excellent service, support and advice for my Moki engine."

Got fed up waiting for weather, so I bit the bullet and test flew Ultimate / Moki 135 over Easter weekend Ran a tank thru engine and then committed to the sky A little too much power but hey.......... Classic Moki what else can I say.... Only one "criticism"....... my 180 starts EASY but this 135 frightens the bejeezers out of me, connect glow and merely TOUCH the prop and its OFF!!!!

Has NEVER failed to start first flick, hot OR cold. Got such a range of engines ASP 2/ 4 stroke, Moki plus some other "brands" I need to standardise on fuel and nitro, note your comments on Southern Modelcraft DOUBLE LUBE HIGH (which I already use) have used 5 or 10% nitro depending on what stock he has ............middle ground please especially for my precious Moki's (Model Technics Castor straight @ moment) As I said, flew over the weekend 4 x a/c and 3 different fuels...........

Oh....your soft engine mounts........do EXACTLY what it sez on the tin! Will certainly retro fit to the Edge / 180
